Circle of Flames (uytel #2) review ´ 107 Sent back to his homeland to investigate the disappearance of psychic children Darius Curilian must face the haunting truths of his past In a remote village Darius and his team arrive too late to sto. Circle of Flames is fun dangerous and excitingWe re back with some of the North American uytel circle Darius and Ash are being loaned to the African uytel circle to help search for missing children of great potential powers Emma is on a research trip to Northern Africa to find details for her thesis paper When she inadvertently stumbles into a supernatural hostage situation she ends up being thrust into a world she has been searching for her whole lifeThe story was fast paced and not too world heavy as the first book had at places The relationship between Darius and Emma was a bit insta y but it was fun nonetheless We got further information in the type of other beings that the uytel searches for and protects and got involved with the types of elementals rather than just the Earth Emma I felt Emma got the short end because she was a fire elemental and was basically ostracized by her family for being a psycho firebug when she was actually the source of the fire and not intentionally setting them I felt it was fairly callous of the uytel or maybe just short sited to not create some sort of x men school for these kids not just for the ones with the uytel markers Like only because you lost the ability to locate vessels and you are now in possession of your defeated enemy s boon are you now going to take in these children Maybe being centuries old just drives the humanity out of youRegardless the story was fun and held my attention to the last page I am looking forward to reading with Ash and Maliha cuz she s kinda a kick ass wolf girl and all ARC provided in exchange for an honest review

Back to the dangerous world of the uytel once This time Darius has to face the task of returning to his first defeat and possibly face the she devil that almost cost him his life and his callingEmma is an academic with than a dash of adventurer She feels at home amongst ruins and long forgotten tombs certainly than she does with her actual family After all as far as they are concerned she is an odd duck a fiery one at that They certainly didn t take long to circle their wagons and ostracise her after her episodeEmma is soon pulled into the magic of the uytel when she witnesses a small child being kidnapped and goes to intervene She soon learns that she is not uite as alone in her abilities as she thought After a hot night with Darius he mind blanks her and deposits her back at home Fast forward a few weeks and he and the other uytel realise that the missing pieces of information they need are still locked somewhere in Emma s brain But will she be as uick to help this time especially after she learns what they did to herChild abduction is always a trigger for me and sure enough there were a couple of tears from me However I loved the way the entire storyline was dealt with and lets just say that the retribution of the uytel the Vessels and Emma is epic and well and truly justified Roll on book 3
